Description

One of the first photos that I took on my trip down to Phillip Island.

This is the first time that I have tried shooting a waterscape with my Hoya ND 400 filter.

Tell me what you think, seriously critiques will help me to get better!!

This deviation is in Summer Contest in :iconphoto-sceneries:

Best thing that reminds me about summer is the long days spent at the beaches. Loved it. :D

Wow! This is a stunning photo!

For your first go with your ND400, you have done very well! The movement of the clouds is really nice, and i love the water.

To start with, the composition is beautiful, I love the lonely rock on the shore. You've followed the rule of thirds as well, which is good.

The colours in the sky are beautiful, and I love the reflections on the water. Such a magical scene you've captured.

Very nice depth of field as well, everything is nice and sharp.

Even though there is a tiny bit of overexposure in the middle of the clouds, it doesn't distract from the rest of the photo.

I'm not sure how it would look if you got rid of the rock though. The photo might lose it's composition. I still like it though <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

This is such a fabulous photo, I love it! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>

Vision - 5/5
Beautiful scene, nice movement in the water and clouds.

Originality - 3/5
Unfortunately, sunrise photos are common, so that brings down the originality, it doesn't mean yours isn't great though.

Technique - 4.5/5
Everything is beautiful <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Impact - 5/5
It's an amazing scene, and you've captured it absolutely beautifully!

Keep up the good work <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
