Took many of these shots down at Phillip Island one morning during the holidays. Had to trek up there in darkness and scale the cliff down as the dawn light slowly creeped up over the horizon. Stayed in this area for around 3 hours and took hundreds of photos.
I keep looking at all the shapes, lines and textures. Marvelous!
I really don't know what it is about some landscape scenes that makes it hard to believe that they aren't paintings, but that definitely applies to this one. Part of it's probably the water - it's in such an apparently confined space, and yet so blue that it has to be pretty deep water, and the apparent contradiction of those two observations leads the mind to some pretty weird conclusions.
